Ismail Merican is also another sex maniac Health DG like his previous boss and he sleep with 4 different lady each night ...."legally"

These are the 2 scums Ismail the Mamak and his well known mistress Dr Nor Shahidah of National Liver Foundation (A so call NGO set by this 2 scums to channel money from ministry of health to enrich themselves) in Malaysia who always like to have sex in the DG office in Putrajaya Percint E. Apparently he just manage to date rape a female houseman too......a few days ago while visiting Hospital Selayang!

Ismail Merican the Ministry of Health Director General is also a old sex maniac who sleep with 4 woman "legally" each night and also a womanizer just like his previous boss, Dr Chua Siok Lek!

He is well know to the medical community as the "worst" womanizer and maybe a sodomizer too as he is known to tell jokes about his abnormal sex life during round as a "liver specialist" in the hospital of Ministry of Health. Just ask any ministry of health staff and they can tell you a dozen "dirty" stories about him. And how would this man be fit to lead the Health Ministry? I wander.

MCA, Gerakan and SUPP...cheated the Chinese in 2004 and bullshit again now when UMNO secretly talk to PAS.. to form an Ultra-Islamic Count in Malaysia

I still remember in 2004, the MCA, Gerakan and SUPP moroons told chinese not to vote for opposition because the opposition coalition will form an Ultra -Islamic State because of PAS. And now you can see that all of them are just cowards and dogs to the UMNO when Abdullah anounced that UMNO is offering share of power with PAS......They just keep quiet...especially this elder shitty Ong Ka Chuan of MCA says he support Abdullah and just waiting for is instruction. He is indeed the most useless "person"(not fit to call leader...because he is appointed by his brother) we had ever met in Malaysian Chinese history. His ancestry and future generation will be cursed in hell for what demage he had done to his community and the country as a whole.

Malaysian should never vote for MCA, Gerakan and SUPP again in the rest of their life.

A true life of the Corrupter of the century Abdul Taib (means "Faeces" in Malay) bin Mahmud from state of Sarawak....published in Wikepedia

Pehin Sri Dr. Haji Abdul Taib bin Mahmud (born 21 May 1936 in Miri, Sarawak, Malaysia) is the current Chief Minister of Sarawak of Melanau descent.
Contents
Personal life and education
He undertook his early schooling at the St. Joseph's Schools in Miri and Kuching, before receiving a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Adelaide in South Australia in 1960.
Returning to Sarawak, he worked in the judiciary until 1963 when he joined the State Legislative Council of Sarawak, where he held various ministries in Sarawak and the Malaysian Parliament, before succeeding his uncle, Abdul Rahman Ya'kub, as the Chief Minister of Sarawak.
He is the father of Sulaiman Abdul Rahman Taib. He is better known as "Bai Mao"(白毛)in Chinese which means "White Hair". Among Malay speaking communities, he is known as "Pak Uban", which translates as "Old Man with White Hair". Being the Chief Minister of Sarawak for almost 27 years, he has successfully and securely made Sarawak as a kingdom of corruption.
Corruption and Sarawak's logging industry
Charges of deep corruption have surrounded Taib Mahmud on numerous occasions and the dominance of Sarawak's political elite including Taib Mahmud's family in the logging industry is well documented [1]. Most recently a foreign wire agency reported on March 29 that Taib has been implicated in a 1.1 billion yen (RM32 million) timber export kickbacks.[2] It said nine Japanese shipping companies, which transported timber from Sarawak, had allegedly failed to report some 1.1 billion yen in income over a period of up to seven years. The report claimed the money was paid as kickbacks to Sarawak officials via a Hong Kong agent linked to Taib and his family.
The results of the logging industry under Taib Mahmud is that less than 10% of Sarawak's primary forests remain, logging many of the ancestral lands of many of Sarawak's indigenous communities, despite their continued petitions and road blockades [3] where forceful dismantling has led to several deaths and regular violent coersion by the Malaysian army, police and logging company enforcers [4].
Ever since Prime Minister Abdullah Ahmad Badawi’s anti-corruption programme saw the arrest of Eric Chia and Kasitah Gaddam, “Why only hunt ikan bilis in KL and Sabah? Why not also audit some bigger fish in Sarawak?” For example, many know that the Chief Minister (CM) of Sarawak since 1981, Pehin Sri Abdul Taib Mahmud’s family, has a rags to riches story. Abdul Taib Mahmud insists his family made their money via hard work in business. But many observers remain sceptical and wonder how his siblings and children came into all that wealth, both locally and overseas.
Born into impoverished circumstances in 1936, Abdul Taib Mahmud is an ethnic Muslim-Melanau who traces an aristocratic link to the Royal Court of Brunei. But since becoming CM, Taib has been previously described, at various times, by the international media in the following terms: He is “flamboyant with expensive tastes” and is said to have “purchased the piano of the late American showman Liberace for close to US$2 million”. He “lives in a well-guarded palatial home in Kuching and rides in a cream-coloured Rolls Royce. A dapper dresser, he is partial to double-breasted suits and sports a ring with a walnut-sized red gem surrounded by small diamonds”. Presently, he lives in a palatial private estate outside Kuching along Jalan Bako in a choice location called Demak Laut fronting the Sarawak river.
In the late-1980s, clients loyal to Taib collectively were estimated to control 1.6 million hectares of timber concessions. By 2000, Mahmud family members had major investments not only in Sarawak and Malaysia but also in other parts of the world. Taib Mahmud’s sons, Sulaiman Abdul Rahman Taib and Mahmud Abu Bekir Taib, are the two key directors of Cahya Mata Sarawak (CMS), a multi-million ringgit financial and infrastructure conglomerate listed on the KLSE that thrives because it receives lots of patronage projects from the Sarawak government via PPES Works, a CMS subsidiary company jointly owned with the State government. CMS also owns Bank Utama that engineered a reverse takeover of RHB Bank in 2003. And CMS continues to eye the Bakun mega-project.
Abdul Taib Mahmud’s spouse, Laila Taib, and his children are the majority shareholders of Sitehost Pty. Ltd., Australia, a company which owns the Adelaide Hilton Hotel. Company records dated December 2000 show them holding 95 percent of the company or 9.5 million fully paid up shares of Sitehost. Onn Mahmud (Taib Mahmud’s brother), Taib’s daughter Jamilah Hamidah Taib and her husband Sean Murray, are listed as director-shareholders of SAKTO Corporation, a major real estate operator of non-residential buildings in Ottawa, owning and managing over half a million square feet of prime office space with affiliate offices in the US, Asia, the UK and Australia. As well, they own SAKTO Development Corporation, a multi-million dollar development and construction company in Ottawa, while Jamilah is the sole director of SAKTO Investment Corporation.
Now, it may well be that the Mahmud family is one of the best and most astute business families in Malaysia. And more power to them on that account. But much of their known wealth has arisen during the tenure of Abdul Taib Mahmud as Sarawak CM. Is there then any wonder why there exists so much public scepticism about the sources of Abdul Taib Mahmud’s family wealth? Would not a transparent audit do well to quash such obviously unscrupulous rumours once and for all?

Corruption and Nepotism
In 2008, Mahmud gave his son Sulaiman a seat in the Malaysian parliament. After the son was elected, he was made a deputy federal minister despite not having any political experience. It is almost certain that the son would not even have a political career if the father was not the chief minister.
Mahmud's sister Roziah is one of the most powerful businesswoman in Sarawak with extensive holdings in property and timber business.
Mahmud's brother in law, Tan Sri Aziz Hussain, was appointed state secretary by Mahmud and when he retires, Mahmud appointed him executive director of Sarawak Energy and other companies.
Lot 1 Muara Tuang L.D (980ha), Lot 887 Samarahan LD (670HA), Lot 1230 Sedilu Gedong LD (5010HA) AND lot 1509 Bukar Sadong LD (3720ha) was alienated to a company called Lambang Sinar Emas (a company owned by Roziah Mahmud) on 26.05.2004. In 26.01.2005 the ownership of the company changed hand. Roziah stand to gain tens of millions of ringgit from this transaction.

Iban and the native are regard as stupid and "loyal" to the UMNO all this time.

The Iban in Sarawak had always being regard as "stupid" by the UMNO and PBB because they can be easily bought over by RM50 to 100 during the election to vote for the BN government. Thay are always regards as "no guts" although they are the head hunter before. Worse than that the Iban leaders had always being fighting each other to gain their own interest and forget the whole tribe as a whole and Sarawakian in general. Thay are always laugh by the Malays in Semananjung as kolot and live on the tree even up till today!

IBAN under BN government is poorly treated and .....time to vote the BN government out!

WE IBAN DO NOT WANT ANYMORE RIGHTS, we just want to be paid a decent wage to live in our home

We do not want to be like the Indonesian roaming all over the world, as the lowest imported labour in the market.
Our state is the riches in Malaysia, oil, gas, timber, hydro power and land. Why cannot we be paid a decent wages to stay home and work

Migrant worker picking fruit in New Zealand earns RM 5000 to 6000 a month. Small farm of 5 acres or less. Here we have oil palm of 5000 acres or more, why cannot we be paid RM 10,000 a month instead of only 1500. According to calculation, the return of profit per worker in oil palm estate to the owner is 15 times that of fruit orchard owner.

Is this Bumiputra rights, to be enslaved by the BN government with imported Indonesian workers. Is SCORE the importation of 1.5 millions indonesian to Sarawak. Using our land for the rich croynists to be richer while jobs are taken away by cheap labour import.

Do not tell the IBAN about how many IBAN graduates there are now, how many IBAN millionaires there are now. What the point. Are they able to provide decent employment to fellow IBAN. The most they are lowly paid employees of somebody and the millionaires are some croynists of the Government. As read here what the point of being graduates when you are paid the same pay 22 years ago.

SARAWAK HAS ZERO PROGRESS UNDER TAIB MAHMUD BN GOVERNMENT. THE IBAN ARE POOR, THE CHINESE ARE POOR, THE MALAY ARE POOR AND ONLY THE CROYNISTS ARE RICH..SUPER RICH

INVESTORS DARE NOT TO COME, EVEN THE WEST MALAYSIAN INVESTORS ARE SCARE TO COME AND FOREIGN INVESTOR, ALMOST ZERO, BECAUSE SARAWAK DOES NOT HAVE LAW TO PROTECT GOOD PEOPLE, INVESTORS AND FOREIGNERS. SARAWAK LAW IS WHATSOEVER TAIB MAHMUD WANTS.

THE STATE MACHINERY IS WHATSOEVER TAIB MAHMUD WANTS, INVESTORS WHO MAKE MONEY IN SARAWAK WILL QUICKLY TAKES THEIR MONEY AWAY TO INVEST OVERSEA, NO TRUSTING THE GOVERNMENT IF THEIR INVESTMENT GROW LARGE ENOUGH TO BE NOTICE AND TAKEN AWAY BY CM TAIB.

IBAN IS POOR BECAUSE THEIR ARE FEW JOBS, BECAUSE OF IMPORT OF LARGE NUMBER OF INDONESIAN CHEAP WORKERS, BECAUSE THE GOVERNMENT WANTS IBAN TO BE POOR SO THEY WILL LISTERN TO THE BN GOVERNMENT, BECAUSE THE GOVERNMENT MANIPULATED THE JUDICIARY UNTIL INVESTORS DO NOT DARE INVEST ANYMORE AND BECAUSE OF MASSIVE CORRUPTIONS BY BN YBs, CIVIL SERVICES, THE POLICE AND IN PARTICULAR TAIB MAHMUD

I AM NOT A POLITICIAN, BUT I CANNOT KEEP ON LIVING THIS WAY HEARING BN LIES DAY IN AND DAY OUT. I SHALL EXPLAIN TO THE LONG HOUSE PEOPLE, SLOWLY, ONE LONG HOUSE AT A TIME TO STOP THE GOVERNMENT BULLSHIT

WE THE IBAN WANTS TO HELP ANY ABLE PEOPLE, YB CHONG CHENG JIEN OR ANY ONE WHO WILL TRY TO CHANGE SARAWAK. CHANGE SARAWAK TO LIVE IN RESPECT, DIGNITY AND TELL TAIB MAHMUD AND BN GOVERNMENT WE HAVE ENOUGH, WE WANT OUT STATE BACK

Ong Ka Chuan is a dog to UMNO...A useless chinese!

TAPAH: There will not be talks between MCA and DAP just because Umno and PAS have started a dialogue, said MCA secretary-general Datuk Seri Ong Ka Chuan.
He said if that a stand was adopted, it would lead to distrust among the Barisan Nasional component parties.
“We cannot talk with the DAP just because one party is having talks with another party,” he told reporters yesterday after opening Tapah MCA division’s annual general meeting.
Ong, who is division chief, said what was important in Barisan Nasional was discussions among the various component parties rather than talks with opposition parties.
On former Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad statement that Umno should not leave out its Barisan partners when making deals with PAS, Ong said the MCA had no problems with Umno having talks with PAS.
“If (Umno) wants to involve us (in the talks) it is fine with us. If (Umno) does not involve us (in the talks), it is also all right with us.
“If (Umno) wants to brief us later, it is also fine with us. It is not a problem.”
Gerakan secretary-general Datuk Seri Chia Kwang Chye said PAS spiritual leader Datuk Nik Aziz Nik Mat’s proposal that Umno and PAS merge showed the inconsistent stand of the party’s top leaders, from calls to cease all talks to proposing a merger.
“I foresee a power struggle and difference of opinions among PAS,” he said in George Town.

The doctor report on Saiful...the million dollar Sodurecipient...who wanna get rich fast!

The doctor’s report says it very clearly. Saiful was never sodomised, either by Anwar or anyone else. Why is the government still pursuing the case against Anwar? And why are they looking for the doctor who has now gone underground with his whole family?NO HOLDS BARREDRaja Petra Kamarudin
On 21 July 2008, I published an article in this same column called HOW, YET AGAIN, THEY ARE TRYING TO FABRICATE EVIDENCE AGAINST ANWAR. (Read the article here ).In that article I mentioned as follows:You see, they asked a certain doctor from a certain hospital to conduct an examination on Saiful. The doctor did so and he came out with a report that said there is no evidence Anwar had ever penetrated or sodomised the young man. The police then picked up the doctor and detained him for three days. As much as they tried to force him to change his report to implicate Anwar he refused to do so.Until today, the doctor stands by his report that there is no evidence Anwar had sodomised Saiful. He knows he is going to be made to pay for this but he doesn’t care. He is not going to change his report and say that Anwar sodomised Saiful whatever they do to him. Exasperated, the police had to release Anwar on personal bond or police bail. The doctor refuses to doctor his report and neither does Anwar want to volunteer his new specimen.Well, that doctor’s name is Dr Mohamed Osman Abdul Hamid from the Hospital Pusrawi and he has now taken his entire family and has gone into hiding because the police are looking for him and they want him to change his medical report. At 2.00pm on 28 June 2008, Mohd Saiful Bukhari Bin Azlan went to see Dr Mohamed Osman to complain about a pain he is suffering in his anus. Saiful told the doctor that he had been assaulted by ‘a very important person’ -- meaning, of course, sodomised by Anwar Ibrahim.Dr Mohamed Osman examined Saiful but found no evidence that he had been sodomised, either by Anwar Ibrahim or anyone else for that matter. The doctor’s report (which can be viewed below) says that there is zero (0) skin tearing, zero (0) active bleeding, zero (0) traces of pus, etc., which basically means he can’t be suffering from a pain in the anus as what he alleges. The doctor’s diagnosis is that he rules out or TRO (to rule out) assault (sodomised). In short: Mohd Saiful Bukhari Bin Azlan is not suffering any pain in the anus and neither was he assaulted or sodomised in the anus.Saiful then said he would like to make a police report so Dr Mohamed Osman suggested he go for a second medical examination at a government hospital. Saiful did so and the doctor at the government hospital also came out with the same diagnosis. Nevertheless, Saiful still made his police report at the pondok police in the hospital. In spite of the doctors all confirming that Saiful was never sodomised, the police still pursued the case. Anwar Ibrahim was subsequently arrested by about 20 SWAT members in Balaclavas and armed to the teeth in a dramatic movie-style action-packed drama in front of his house after he had confirmed he would be reporting to the police station at 2.00pm as required. The police detained Anwar in the lockup until the next morning and even brought him to the hospital for examination and to try to obtain his specimen for what the police say are for purposes of doing a DNA profile. The fact that the police already have Anwar’s DNA profile from 1998, plus the doctors from both hospitals confirm that Saiful was never sodomised, did not seem to matter.Clearly the government is attempting to fabricate evidence against Anwar and is trying to indict him on trumped-up charges of sodomy. And who but the slime-ball AG and scumbag IGP, the same two players in the 1998 episode, can be behind this latest travesty of justice. The doctor’s report says it very clearly. Saiful was never sodomised, either by Anwar or anyone else. Why is the government still pursuing the case against Anwar? And why are they looking for the doctor who has now gone underground with his whole family?Civil society movements, NGOs and the Malaysian Bar Council must not remain silent. The police have already detained the doctor for three days but he still refuses to doctor his medical report. Anwar did not sodomise Saiful and the doctor’s report says it very clearly. And the police also have a copy of this same report that I have published below so they know what I know. And now Malaysians also already know what I and the police know -- that Saiful was never sodomised by anyone.

MCA, Gerakan and MIC are just puppet of UMNO...who will formed coalition with PAS to form an ULTRA-ISLAMIC country in Malaysia.

This past week has been too overwhelming, both on the personal and professional fronts, for me to contribute something on the heady stew that is Malaysian politics these days.
But I have been reading the news and the blogs, and I’ve been thinking, furiously. It came to me last night how we Malaysians have been royally screwed every which way, for decades now.
Frankly, we are sore.
That however, does not compare to my sinking realisation of the plan tacitly endorsed and assiduously pursued by the Barisan Nasional government to keep the Non-Malays (notice that I didn’t say non-bumis) firmly as second class citizens.
You see. I like to see the good in people. As it turns out, my rather romantic ideal is exploding in my face every day.
Recent events have shown that nothing, absolutely nothing, is sacrosanct in Malaysian politics…and by extension, governance.
This fact must be something that a lot of people in MCA, MIC and Gerakan have realised by now. I would have liked to have seen Ong Ka Ting’s face when he read of Abdullah’s statement regarding overtures to PAS after Mar 8.
UMNO can, did, and still tries to get into bed with PAS, then simply to keep the many states from falling into the so-called unclean hands of the “impure” PKR and the “Chinese supremacist” DAP, but now to keep its hold on power.
Muzakarah? Hah Hah! PAS’ Hadi Awang either had a frontal lobotomy recently or is more of a scheming Malay than an “upstanding Muslim politician” (is that an oxymoron?).
Can’t he see that the PAS brand of politics CANNOT see light of day when they get in bed with UMNO? UMNO is an alpha male of Malaysian politics, with all the undesirable attributes of that type.
Hadi must have been around when they flirted with each other a few decades ago. Still haven’t learnt your lesson, Pak Haji, or has the promise of money and power blinded you? So much so that you can go behind the back of Tok Guru, who commands the love and respect of the not only the young PAS cadre, but also most people in the country.
For BN’s many non-Malay partners, Abdullah’s statement must have seemed like a roundhouse punch. They must still be concussed and seeing stars over this.
To Ong Ka Ting, Koh Tsu Koon and Samy (if he’s not too busy with “rebranding” MIC) and the other leaders of the many BN coalition partners in Peninsular Malaysia, Sabah and Sarawak, I’d like to ask this.

Malaysian being cheated by the greedy BN government all this time...while the minister buy toll free Mercedes and BMW

Malaysians have been deceived for so long that we have been subsidized for our petrol. In fact we have been paying more than our fair share for our petrol. How is this? We need to look at the big picture of petrol prices, the price of cars, toll charges, per capita income and the cost and efficiency of public transportation.
I am glad that our Minister of Information made a comparison of petrol prices in Malaysia and some Scandinavian countries. Let me make a simple comparison between Malaysia and Australia to show that we have been cheated all these years.
1. Per capita income of Australia (USD35,990.00) is more than 6 times that of Malaysia (USD5,490.00) in 2006. (Source: World Bank)
2. Starting pay of a graduate in Malaysia RM2,500.00 per month and in Australia AUD4,000.00 (RM12,000.00) per month.
3. Price of one liter of petrol in Malaysia RM2.70 and in Australia AUD1.75 (RM5.25). The price differential is RM2.55 a liter.
Assume we buy a similar new car in both countries, a 1.8L Honda Civic Auto cost RM110,000.00 in Malaysia and AUD24,000.00 (RM72,000.00) in Australia. That is a difference of RM38,000.00. If we divide the price differential of the car with the cost of petrol, 38,000/2.55=14,900 liters of petrol. This means that an owner of a Honda Civic will upon consuming the first 14,900 liters of petrol is actually not getting a single cent of subsidy from the government.
The cost of a new Honda Civic in Malaysia is equivalent to 44 months salary of a fresh graduate. In Australia it is 6 months salary of a fresh graduate. It is a known fact that according to our previous Minister of MITI she openly admitted that the duty on cars in Malaysia is imposed not to protect Proton alone, but that the government is now dependent on car duty as an important source of government revenue. So where has the trillions of dollars collected all these years gone?
I had recently returned from a driving holiday in Australia. We drove approximately 8,000 km from Melbourne to Perth and return, and guess what? I did not have to pay a single cent in terms of TOLL!!!!!!!! The road condition is in no way inferior to that of our Malaysian roads.
The state of public transportation in this country is a joke and needs no further elaboration. The government will never improve public transportation as this will force Malaysians to buy the national car!
If we look at the big picture it looks as if we Malaysians have been taken to the cleaners by the Malaysian government all these years without realizing it. We have been conned by the Malaysian government into believing that the government has been so kind to us by subsidizing our petrol. It is especially sad if we compare car prices with the developed countries in addition to the income level. It is time that the present Minister of MITI take a good look at the national car policy and correct the wrongs after all these years. The man who is responsible for this atrocious Malaysian car project is no longer in power, so fear not, Mr. Minister and do the right thing for the citizens of this country.

The Real SodUmisist of the Malaysia........The truth is out there

Land of the rotten, home of the gullible
Dean Johns Jul 23, 08 12:09pm

Another case of sodomy? Don’t make me laugh. It’s just the latest outbreak of ‘sodUmny’ or the shafting of anyone who threatens the power, privilege and patronage of Umno and its accomplices.

Even the timing of this latest attempted perversion of justice, together with the frantic search for scientific evidence, suggests that it’s yet another frame-up.
Especially in the light of ridiculous statements like Home Minister Syed Hamid Albar’s "Anwar Ibrahim shouldn’t worry about giving his DNA sample if he was interested to seek the truth behind the sodomy allegations against him."
Surely, as the accused, Anwar knows the truth already, which is that the charges are a conspiracy to divert the public’s attention from a far more serious crime allegedly involving the initials DNA, namely Dotty, Najib and Altantuya.

Dr M's take on the matter
Strangely, considering his bitter antagonism to the Badawi regime, the supreme ‘sodUmnist’ himself, Mahathir, has done his best to lend credibility to the latest assault on Anwar’s liberty and credibility.
In his blog, he claimed that the present government is not "so stupid or unimaginative" as to trump-up sodomy allegations all over again, adding that "surely (the government) would come up with another story that would be more credible if it is deliberately plotting or conspiring against Anwar."
But anyone familiar with Anwar’s trial on sodomy charges 10 years ago will be vividly aware how stupid, unimaginative and incredible the allegations and court proceedings were, and what a ‘sodUmny’ they constituted on Malaysia’s self-image and international reputation.
That disgraceful episode has since been further compounded by the elevation of key figures in the conspiracy to positions whose incumbents are supposed to be beyond reproach or political influence.

Incredibly enough, lead investigator and carrier of the notorious stained mattress tendered as evidence in the original Anwar case, Musa Hassan, has since been promoted to inspector-general of the Royal Malaysian Police, and the chief prosecutor of the case, Abdul Gani Patail, is, equally unbelievably, now the nation’s attorney-general.
Crooks roam free
With people of such dubious character in powerful posts, it’s small wonder that Abdullah Ahmad Badawi is failing so miserably to convince an increasingly incredulous electorate of his genuine intention to enact reforms.

Under the leadership of Musa, the police are apparently helpless at tackling their own systemic corruption or Malaysia’s soaring crime rates, but incredibly efficient when it comes to ‘sodUmnising’ the rakyat with roadblocks and resultant gridlock, as in KL a couple of Mondays ago on Syed Hamid’s "intelligence" that an opposition rally was imminent.
And on the same day, they helped ‘sodUmnise’ Parliament itself, following orders by the powers-that-be to deny access to the people and the press to witness the opposition’s threatened motion of no-confidence in the government.

Malaysia’s otherwise pathetically poor police force is also mighty effective when it comes to arresting and charging opposition figures, like the Hindraf five, Anwar on the new sodomy rap and Raja Petra Kamarudin, first for sedition and now criminal defamation.
The attorney-general, for his part, apparently easily finds that such dangerous opposition figures have cases to answer, but consistently fails to convince himself that there’s ever sufficient evidence to prosecute most high-profile Barisan Nasional suspects.
So S Samy Vellu of the Maika Holdings mess and the Telekom shares scandal is still free to go about his business, AP queen Rafidah Aziz remains at liberty to live off the fat of the land and Najib Razak and his consort Rosmah haven’t been so much as mentioned, let alone called as witnesses, in the endless trial of selected suspects in the matter of the Altantuya Shaariibuu murder.

With ‘sodUmny’ being committed on this sort of scale, it’s no wonder so many Malaysians despair of their country’s future.
But I’m not so pessimistic. As desperate as Malaysia’s ‘sodUmnists’ are to cling to power, and as low as they’re capable of stooping, I think they know in their bones that they’re doomed.
My guess is that they’ll fail to stick Anwar with this latest sodomy rap. Partly because they have no intention of seeing it through to the bitter end, as it’s just a diversion from all the dirt surrounding Najib and partly because they know they wouldn’t survive the public backlash like they did last time around.
Sexual orientation not relevant
And I believe that, having survived the sodomy charges, Anwar will eventually lead Pakatan Rakyat in the final electoral defeat of the ‘sodUmnists’.
Of course he may well, as my old friend Ktemoc never tires of telling us, be tainted by his previous high-level involvement in the Mahathir regime, and is also too devious to be trusted. But he’s still currenly Malaysia’s best if not only hope.
He may also actually be a sodomist. Not that I or anyone else I know believes he is, or could care less either way. Peoples’ sexual orientations have no bearing whatever on their fitness to hold political office, or any other position of responsibility.
As everybody knows, Australia’s first Malaysian-born federal government minister, Senator Penny Wong, happens to be lesbian. And the leader of Australia’s Greens Party, Bob Brown, is avowedly homosexual, as is one of Australia’s most eminent and widely-admired jurists, Justice Michael Kirby.
Not all male homosexuals practice sodomy, of course, whatever the sexually-uninformed may believe. But in any case, it’s nobody’s business but their own. And I’d rather my country was run by an honest and public-spirited sodomist, or even an entire coalition and cabinet of sodomists, than by a bunch of homophobic hicks, crooks and serial ‘sodUmnists’.

See how Malaysian response to the lies by the Prime Minister of Malaysia and the Home Minister regarding DNA and showed how stupid they are..!

On Existing DNA sample too old, says PM
DR PR: Why must Syed Hamid Albar and the PM coax Anwar Ibrahim to give a blood specimen? What interest do they have in this episode if it is not political? The survival or demise of BN depends on the outcome of this case.
The Mahathir family and the DPM have their worries too. The PM and Syed Hamid have said that Anwar has nothing to fear and foreign experts may obtain the specimen. Either they do not understand or pretend not to understand the fears of DSAI.
To put it bluntly, a blood or serum specimen from DSAI could be introduced by catheter into the rectum of the complainant (or mixed in vitro ie. with Saiful's specimen outside of the body in a test tube) and any sample taken from Saiful will show the presence of Anwar's DNA.
Thus Anwar will be found to guilty of sodomy. Simple. I have two suggestions to get around this problem:
1. Get a foreign DNA expert to obtain a specimen from Saiful, create a DNA profile, seal the results and leave it with the court under security (or should it be double security?).
Subsequently, get Anwar’s specimen and compare his DNA profile with that obtained from Saiful.
2. The other option would be to radio-label Anwar's specimen. If the radio isotope is detectable in Saiful's specimen, then you will know that it has been planted.
Dr Nedu: It was the joke of the century when the PM commented on the DNA. The funny part is he got the facts wrong. When the experts collect blood samples the get the coding, it is translated into a chart which is on permanent record. This record is done once, and that's it.
It is something like profiling a blood test. If you are in the group of A+, then you are forever A+. It is unnecessary to withdraw blood to get the grouping after 10 years or 20 years. The grouping will not change.
Likewise, DNA profiling is permanent. The idea that the current government and police force need to have Anwar's blood for new DNA profiling is illogical.
This simply shows the lack of knowledge among this group of people and to paint bad picture about DSAI refusing to allow blood sample taken from him.
Why is PM getting involved when he said police are independent and that the Umno politicians are not getting involved in the investigation of the so-called sodomy case of DSAI.? Why did he say ‘we’? That shows he is part of the team that accused DSAI of sodomy.
Forget about the sodomy case. Look at other important unsolved cases, like the missing Sharline, Lingam tape, Altantuya murder, missing Bala, and Datuk Johari's cases. etc. After all is said and done, DSAI is the best leader this nation can get. We the rakyat want him as our next PM.
V for Vernon: While scientists the world over have extracted and reliably used DNA from over tens of thousands of years ago, our local saintis kampung in the form of Abdullah Ahmad Badawi says that ten-year-old DNA samples are no good and that they need fresh DNA from Anwar.
Genetic experts should weigh in on the range, by way of confidence intervals for example, on how precise the age of a DNA sample can be pinpointed.
For example, if they have Anwar's DNA from 10 years ago and tried to plant it as evidence, it may clearly be debunked using objective tests that indicate a sample obtained from a time period not corresponding to the time that Saiful says he was sodomised. (i.e., DNA does indeed disintegrate over time, yet does not lose its ability to ‘finger print’ the individual).
On the other hand, fresh DNA might fall within a range of estimates for the time period corresponding to Saiful's allegation.
That may be why the government and the police are increasingly desperate to obtain fresh DNA samples from Anwar, so that if planted, it becomes very uncertain exactly when it was ‘deposited’ into Saiful's posterior, with the actual planting of evidence becoming indistinguishable from the alleged act of depositing semen by way of sodomy.
Concerned Malaysian: I am neither in support of nor against the government but a concerned Malaysian watching this unfortunate sodomy accusation episode.
A question came to my mind - if I am not mistaken, the government already has the data on Anwar's DNA taken in the past. This data can be used by the police to match any DNA taken from the place of offence as described by the accuser.
If the DNA taken from the place of offence matches the data taken in the past then the police would have sufficient evidence to charge Anwar. Why the need for a fresh sample, and the reason that Anwar's DNA sample taken in the past being too old? Too old for what purpose?
Enough Already: Dinosaur DNA can still be analysed after how many millions of years, but Anwar's decade-old DNA sample is too old? For what?
Why not say Anwar's thumb print in his IC is too old? What's the prime minister doing publicly taking sides on an issue under police investigation anyway? Do he have a vested interest in a certain outcome?

Kenneth: In the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, Article 11, it states: Everyone charged with a penal offence has the right to be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law in a public trial at which they have had all the guarantees necessary for their defence.
In short, it means ‘innocent until proven guilty’. So it's quite a shock for me when our prime minister says ‘If he has not done anything, than provide a sample. Do it. I want to see it. Let's see the result which could prove that he did not do it.’
I might be wrong, but as far as I know, it's not up to us to prove we are innocent, but up to the police and the prosecutor to collect and present enough compelling evidence to convince the judge.

Smelly Evidence: Why do the police not get international experts to be brought in to examine the DNA evidence of Saiful first before testing it with that of DSAI?
If the government wants to make things transparent, then they should get several independent experts to extract Saiful’s DNA, verify them to make sure that they are all similar before publicly comparing it with the DNA of DSAI.
That way, there will be no doubt if the evidence have been tampered with. I doubt the police or government will agree to this as they are hiding too many facts from the public again. Even Saiful’s police report has not been given to DSAI to date.

GK: When did our PM became a DNA specialist? The experts are telling us that DNA could be preserved for a number of years. What happened to the DNA samples taken in 1998?
Perhaps the BN has finished it up for their fabrication. The whole world knows that DSAI was framed in 1998 and that the current BN is trying to direct Dr Mahathir’s drama again. The police are not releasing their police report, but are hungry for DSAI’s DNA sample.
Mengchai: ‘If he has not done anything, then provide a sample. Do it. I want to see it. Let's see the result which could prove that he did not do it,’ he (Pak Lah) told reporters.
Once bitten twice shy. You have given many assurances, but with your flip-flop decisions, it may change overnight. You may not do it. Can you trust your people? Whatever you say, the rakyat has already lost confidence in you and won’t swallow every word you utter.
Increasing the petrol price didn’t take long, but reducing the tolls will take months. We know you have two years and by then you may have forgotten the development your promised your home state.
Do you think you will be remembered as one of the great PMs of Malaysia?

A Concerned Citizen: I personally feel that this DNA sampling is not necessary, since there is no official police report available to Anwar on what charges he has been indicted on. All this while, we’ve only heard and read the charges in the news and newspaper. Where is the actual report?
Maybe if the police can make this available, then Anwar can go for the DNA sampling. And this must be done under the observation of foreign experts, whom I suggest to handle this case since I don’t trust the police.
Secondly, the police should make Saiful’s report available to Anwar since they don’t have the right to withhold it. Is there any law that can force the police to release this report? If no, Anwar can sue the force for lodging a false report against him and ask the court to drop the case once and for all.
So far with the investigations of this case, we’ve only heard the police and the government pester Anwar to give his DNA. What the heck do they want if they can’t even compel the police to release the police report lodged against Anwar?

Chong Yee Yap: I find it very distressing to read so many comments that keep repeating themselves about Anwar's DNA and all that stuff about the corrupt police and the judiciary.
Yes, I too agree that the police and the judges of the Malaysian courts just cannot be trusted, but nobody has even touched on proof of the evidence of the corruption of police and judges.
We have all been told that Anwar has given the police his alibi. That is enough for the police to begin their investigation, and only if police in the course of their investigation find more incriminating evidence that is not consistent with Anwar's alibi can they ask for another explanation.
This procedure has not been adhered to, therefore it is very timely and correct for the public to be suspicious of the intentions of the police. Anwar is right in not providing his DNA because he is not required to do so on grounds ‘self-incrimination’.
No accused person can be compelled to self-incriminate himself. That is the law and it must be adhered to.
The next point that I want to raise to evidence is the fact that Saiful has confessed to sodomy. He has said that he committed sodomy with Anwar, and that means he is a self-confessed sodomite.
I am not saying that he did, but I am saying is that he has confessed to sodomy and in his confession he has confessed to being an accomplice to the offence. This therefore places the burden on the police and the AG to instantly prosecute Saiful for sodomy.
The conviction of Saiful does not necessarily mean that Anwar participated in the crime because there is no evidence that implicates Anwar. It is for that reason that we can say the police and the AG's office want to frame Anwar with fresh DNA.
Everybody knows that DNA has been kept active for centuries, only our PM does not know that. From my perspective, I believe that Anwar's team ought to consider this approach because that is the law.

Ahmad Fuad: I am a complete greenhorn in this dog-eat-dog world of Malaysian politics.
But when I hear and read of how a squad of ten (or was it fifteen? Whatever lah) public-funded vehicles, loaded with public-funded police in full battle gear (balaclavas and all), I told myself, ‘Ah...there's something more here!
‘It cannot just be about arresting a 61-year-old man who's only weapon that he carries is God-given. I was sure that it was about ‘someone’ setting out to embarrass someone else.’
Thank you, gentlemen. I am now not only convinced, I now also have (and I am sure others out there, too) a very good idea of those behind this satanic scheme: the players, the financiers and all the way up to the ‘producers’.
Thank you, sirs. You made my day.
Andrew Lee: Give Anwar’s accuser a break. He may be waiting for the samples before he continues proper toilet hygiene.

JTB: Anwar went through a harrowing experience in 1998. The Malaysian public are not stupid enough not to see that the manner in which he was arrested was all a set up to treat him like a wanted terrorist.
Did you notice the markings on the jacket of one of the ski masked special force chaps? Team A is written, presumably because they used the best team in the force to apprehend Anwar.
What fresh sample is needed? His DNA has been taken in 1998 and they already have the records of his DNA profile. If I was Anwar, I would not give my blood sample to the police, not after the great set up in the 1998 episode.
We Malaysians feel that there is no need for you to subject yourself to this humiliation anymore. Your refusal to give your blood sample for DNA profiling is now a symbol of your cause to challenge an oppressive regime.
We still remember how the prosecution fixed up the mattress incident. How can we forget Augustine Paul expunging the evidence?
I would like to know about the alleged victim, Saiful, who was sent to the hospital and examined. Was he stripped naked, measured and photographed?
Most Malaysians would like to ask the prime minister, ‘Why is it so difficult for the police to give a copy of the police report made by Saiful to Anwar Ibrahim or his lawyer? Do you not think that Anwar is an interested party in this matter?
Why the secrecy? Have the police now declared that Saiful’s report is now sulit and protected under the ‘Official Secrets Act’? Can the Prime Minister tell Malaysians whether there was a police report made by Saiful or not? We Malaysians have a right to know.
CSI Fan: I don't understand why the police need to get a new DNA specimen from Anwar. The police should already have his DNA profile from 1998 and that can be used to compare with the evidence found in this new case.
Don’t our police save the DNA profiles of convicted sex offenders like Codis in the US? If we don't have such a database, just open the old files.

JKS: If you watch documentaries on Astro, there are so many instances in ‘New Detective,’ ‘Bone Detective,’ ‘Discovery Magazine’ and other programmess where you would have seen than DNA samples (blood, tissue or semen) preserved for years at room temperature in an evidence room, nearly a century in paraffin wax and Alaskan permafrost, and presumably centuries in the freezer under certain natural and artificial preservation methods such as embalming chemicals.
The PM and home minister are faking sincerity, and are made to talk by their home ministry and law enforcement underlings. The tail is wagging the dog. The public can only assume that some rogue underlings need fresh blood to plant as fake evidence.
Nothing else delivers relevant information, exchanges good arguments, sharpens the public debate, and exposes ill-considered and hypocritical arguments as quickly as the mass web media.

Jamilah Wahid: The prime minister's statement that a fresh sample is needed to determine DNA identity only shows his ignorance.
One has to know that the requirement for a fresh sample is only necessary if there is no record of DNA profile of the relevant subject. If there is already a sample in custody (old or new), it does not make any difference if the sole purpose is for the DNA is a profile match.
Even the DNA profile in the record (court records of the previous case) would suffice to make the match. Thousand-year-old dinosaurs are being profiled using traces of fossilised samples. In this event, any out-of-the-way demands for a fresh sample will only create suspicions.

Chuacj: I am writing from the base of common sense as I am no expect in DNA profiling or any medical field. First thing’s first, I am not sure why the police need the fresh DNA from Anwar, as they already have the previous DNA profile in their records.
The police just need to compare the evidence against the old records. The only reason for wanting the fresh DNA is so that they can plant it anywhere they like.
Why are Saiful’s charges not being given to Anwar's lawyer? This proves that the police still haven't decided what to charge him with. I support not giving DNA to the police 100% . I hope more NGO will write in support of this and pressure the police to give Saiful’s report to Anwar.
Also, why does the PM need to give his view on this and say that the sample is too old? Why is he such a busybody in this case? I believe he has better things to do, like setting up the royal commission for the Bala, Lingam and Raja Petra cases, plus the Sabah (illegal immigrant) case.
Stand up like a man and do a man's job.

TJ Lee: I find it embarrassing that our prime minister is speaking, again like an ignoramus.
I find this incessant demand for Anwar's DNA sample most perplexing. As I understand it, the purpose of a DNA sample in a criminal case (say semen, blood, saliva, a skin flake) is for the purpose of DNA finger printing.
Our DNA, like our finger print, is unique to each of us. The likelihood of another person (living or dead) having the same exact DNA as us is extremely, extremely low, except with identical twins.
Now, Anwar's DNA finger print would have been in the police records since 1998/1999, would it not? A DNA sample may get stale, but a DNA finger print does not. I mean, my finger print does not get stale through time, does it?
So what is this talk about stale DNA sample? It is perplexing. If I am Anwar, I would kick up the same fuss. Why the need for the DNA sample if you already have my DNA finger print?
PT Tan: I find Anwar case perplexing.
a. Prime Minister says Anwar must give a DNA sample to clear his name. Strange, I thought the police need to find him guilty. Anwar is innocent until proven otherwise.
b. His previous DNA profile is deemed old - that is why they need a new sample. I know politicians change parties, change colour and change many other things, but a person’s DNA profile is constant from the day of his conception.
Concerned: Many people are uncertain how DNA can be used for manipulation or cheating. Here is one simple way. Suppose Anwar gives his blood and his DNA is tested. The authorities then put away some of it. The rest is used as evidence.
The police could then put Anwar in jail because they can confidently declare that it is the same type of DNA found in Saiful. How can that be? Show proof. Voila, there is the proof. The police take out Anwar's DNA that was put away.
The only way to prevent this from happening is for somebody to stare at the DNA day and night.
Brooklynbridge: Presumably, given its high degree of pleasure, ease of performance, and low expense, sodomy is an act committed with considerable frequency throughout Malaysia, despite being against the law.
How many arrests, prosecutions and convictions have there been for this crime? If the government is as zealous about enforcing the law in all cases, not just with its political enemies, the prisons should be full of sodomites - that is, convicted sodomites.

On Hospital: He was not 'forced' to strip naked
Dr Garuda: The mainstream media is attempting to portray Anwar as a liar in this episode and the director of the Hospital KL has come out with the sterile statement ‘...he was examined by two specialists who adhered to proper clinical procedures during the whole course of examination.
‘At no time was his decency violated.’ But these proper clinical procedures are not explained and have left the public guessing as to who is telling the truth.
There are some basic clinical procedures for examining an alleged sexual offender.
The sexual offender must be anatomically capable to commit the offence. That means his penis must be normal and should not have any deformities which would make him unable to commit the crime.
Physiologically, the alleged offender must be able have maintain an erection sufficiently hard enough for penetration.
Doctors will also look for identifying marks, like moles or scars, which can be identified by the alleged victim.
The anus is examined for the integrity of the anal sphincter. Sometimes swabs are taken from the penis and anal canal for bacteriological analysis.
To carry out the above procedures and tests associated with it, the sexual organs have to be exposed, but it’s done with decorum (if I may use the word).
Normally, the lower part of the body is exposed for these procedures while the upper body is covered with a blanket.
Of course, having someone probing and peering into your nether regions is a degrading experience to say the least, and I can tell you it’s no fun for the examining doctors either.
It’s a job and most doctors are very clinical about it.
Thus, in common language, Anwar was stripped without ‘his decency being violated’ (to use the director’s words).
What was the government looking for when they hauled Anwar in for examination? Specifically, they were going to look at his penis. For sure they will measure the thing.
What can you find on it? It has no finger prints anywhere on it. Are there any? If so, it must be a new medical discovery that will make Malaysians stand out from the rest of the world.

One Malaysia: One just cannot fathom the level the police and those doctors have sunk too.
All in all, this saga has turned Malaysia into the laughing stock of the world. None of the Umno politicians have the decency nor the intelligence expected of them.
Do they think God will not punish them? Already, God had shamed them before the entire world.

Dr Koh Dare to say the truth after he loss his power in government......but not MCA or MIC as they are too coward to do so.

Acting Gerakan president Tan Sri Dr Koh Tsu Koon has urged Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Tan Sri Musa Hassan and Attorney-General (AG) Tan Sri Abdul Gani Patail to extricate themselves from direct involvement with the case made against Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.

Dr Koh said in lieu of Anwar’s allegations against the duo, it was in the best interest of impartiality and public perception for Musa and Abdul Gani to refrain themselves from direct involvement in the Parti Keadilan Rakyat advisor’s sodomy allegation and ensure there was no conflict of interest.“We must also take into account that Anwar is making allegations against the attorney-general and the inspector-general of police. In view of that, we would like to suggest that both the AG and the IGP rightly excuse and export themselves from direct involvement into the present case.“So that again, they are not subject to allegations of (a) lack of partiality and there will be no conflict of interest in the issue rising out of it.“But in order to further the acception of the public and the international media, the AG and the IGP should extricate themselves from this case,” Dr Koh said in a press conference at the Gerakan party office in Menara PGRM here today.

He suggested that independent and competent international experts be engaged in the investigation of Anwar’s case because it had been publicised and politicised by the local and international media.“In a way, we are supporting a proposal by Pemuda Gerakan. This is because it (the case) has been very much politicised and publicised, even in the international media.“It is not because we do not have confidence in the expertise and integrity of our own professionals. I am saying that we must include in the investigation of international experts, who are not only competent but who are fit to be independent,” he continued.According to Dr Koh, this would ensure that the government could answer any potential allegation of possible fabrication since the issue was highly ethical and could be subjected to a lot of questioning.“All these issues are highly ethical subjects to a lot of query, questioning. In other words, it is not just the facts of the case that are important but it is public perception that justice is done, it is seen to be done.“Otherwise, the government will be subject to a lot of allegations. There will be a lot of doubt which is not healthy for the government. Unfortunately, the problem is aggravated by the undue haste of the police in not honouring the deadline, to make the arrest early,” Dr Koh added.

He said that the move made by the police gave everyone the impression of unnecessary high handedness.“There is a need actually to make sure the element of independence and impartiality is strictly adhered to. So that there’s no doubt. Whatever the results, there will be no doubts. This is not to question the capability or the integrity of our own officers but in terms of public perception in this political crisis, it is important we take that into account,” said Dr Koh.He also welcomed Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi’s repeated assurances of safety and treating the case very fairly and thought that it was the correct stance made by Abdullah.

How long is Barisan government trying to cheat Malaysian....A Shame To the Nation

Parliament not the castle of any political party

Will the government realised that the stifling of legitimate peaceful acts erodes its credence?Blocking the road to parliament and barring certain people from its vicinity is unconstitutional and is an act against the people. Parliament exists for the people and is their bastion of democracy and freedom, their sanctuary of political hope.It is not the castle of any political party or politician. An English king lost his head to prove parliament's, and thus, the people's supremacy.

When the speaker forbids debate on questions of public interest he fails to uphold democracy and mocks the office he holds and betrays the people's trust. He is no longer the speaker of the house - a post to ensure freedom of debate without fear or favour - but a partisan politician with a jaundiced eye on proceedings so that the political party he belongs to gets the upper hand. This is a mockery of parliament.

Without public debate and dissent on crucial public issues there is no need for parliament. Why should anyone elected to office on democracy be afraid of dissent, an integral part of democracy? They should join the military where democracy is not known.

Australian Prime Minister Kevin Rudd should have stayed longer to see for himself the ‘vibrant democracy’ that is ‘flourishing’ in Malaysia. I wonder if he will change his tune when caught in the traffic snarls but then his entourage would be the cause of the traffic jams. His recent statements on Malaysia's democracy are as accurate as a visitor saying there is no poverty in Australia and all Australians are flourishing.

PM Abdullah Mohammed Badawi reiterated his war on corruption. More than any other Malaysian premier he provides some semblance of taking action against corruption. But with his poor track record and propensity to do the opposite of what he utters, don't expect the corrupt to feel nervous.

The present political storm appears a struggle between truth and falsehood. What is eminently clear to the public is that someone is obviously lying. Who? I think the people know the answer. But is sodomy the national and cardinal sin? Are lying, slander, cheating, thieving, and other moral sins evident in government and political circles less damning? What about the glaring injustice of the case against Irene Fernandez and those who are whistle-blowers?

The Barisan Nasional government will always be on the backfoot until it is deadly serious about ridding the country of all the corruption-related problems and getting the best people to help it. It cannot be a political approach but a national and bi-partisan campaign involving everyone. Action and results - not words - are proof of sincerity and efficacy. But to its credit, the ACA crackdown on corruption offers some glimmer of hope. Let's hope the vulnerable immigration system itself is remedied so that its not just another case of changing the guards and corruption occurs as if the crackdown didn’t occur. Such is the proof of experience. Corruption is like a strangling fig crippling the country. It is a gargantuan problem, perhaps too big for a two-year leader under attack from many sides with an unproven track record to resolve. Abdullah is also altruistic in wanting to fight corruption and restore the integrity of the judiciary. How? Many Malaysians may be battling a lack of cold cash because of the rising fuel prices and spiralling costs of living but they don't lack intelligence.

The day the politicians honour all that is on paper in the country, the constitution, the rule of law, integrity, and what is needed for sound and efficient government as in Singapore, with a virtually corrupt-free bureaucracy, then we will know the Barisan government is deadly serious about corruption and tackling its pervasive and perverting influence on the country.Attacking corruption is a mantra every premier has chanted but with no visible results. Whatever happened to a ‘clean, efficient and trustworthy’ government? Like propaganda, some people may swallow the bait, hook, line and sinker when repeated often enough but to the enlightened, it is political trickery. If the authorities can't even honour the people's right of dissent what hope is there that corruption and the independence of the judiciary, which depend on a strong sense of fair play and involve high stakes, will ever be eradicated or restored? Hope deferred makes the heart sick and those who can't deliver should never make false promises. Then they won't be seen to be serial liars. Malaysians are desperate for a season of decent governance and old-fashioned honesty.

The fledgling Pakatan Rakyat government in Penang may yet provide the clues so there is real hope, but it is still early days. It is better than hoping against hope with the devil they know elsewhere, I guess, and Malaysians can be forgiven for their incredulity in governance of promises. They are qualified to speak from experience.

How could Malaysians believe all this bullshit by Najib and Rosmah

PKR de facto leader Anwar Ibrahim will be spending the night in police custody. However, it could be not be ascertained whether he would be held at the Kuala Lumpur police headquarters or a different location.
"They are keeping him tonight. Their excuse is they need to take further statements," said lawyer Sankara Nair.

"They are not giving him bail, I have no idea how much longer he will be detained," he told reporters, adding that he was unsure if he would remain at the police headquarters where Anwar was undergoing questioning.Anwar's wife Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail said she feared for his safety, after the events of a decade ago when he was sacked as deputy premier, beaten up by the police chief, and jailed for six years on sodomy and corruption charges.
She railed at police for "reneging on a promise" to release him promptly.

"They told me that they would not keep him overnight," she said. "I feel sad and disappointed that after 10 years this thing has to repeat."
PKR deputy president Syed Husin Ali said they expected Anwar to be taken to court on Thursday morning to extend his detention.
"We expect Anwar to be produced in court to be remanded tomorrow morning and the family is now trying to determine what will happen to Anwar and his precise whereabouts for the night," he said.Police can detain Anwar for 24 hours after which they must apply for a court order that would allow them to remand him for up to 14 days without charge. He could be charged under section 337C of the Penal Code for unnatural sex.Medical tests in hospital
Earlier this evening, the police took Anwar to Hospital Kuala Lumpur for medical tests.
Anwar left the Kuala Lumpur police headquarters at 8.35pm with a convoy of 10 police vehicles and a dozen outriders.

The veteran politician, who was arrested this afternoon in connection with a sodomy report, had his statement recorded in a marathon six-hour session - from 2.30pm to 8.30pm.
Anwar arrived at the hospital's emergency unit at about 8.50pm. Some 40 police personnel were deployed in the area.
The politician was later taken to the hospital's royal ward but no further details were available. The police had cordoned off the area.
Earlier today, his lawyer Sankara Nair said that under the law, Anwar is not obliged to provide the police with a DNA sample.Lawyer: No DNA sample given
About two hours later, Anwar emerged from the hospital accompanied by dozens of police officers.

He smiled and waved to about 50 supporters who were waiting outside the building. The crowd shouted 'reformasi' as he was escorted into a car where he was taken in a police convoy back to the police headquarters.
He arrived at the police headquarters at 10.30pm. According to Anwar's lawyer R Sivarasa who had accompanied the opposition leader to the hospital, a basic medical check-up was performed.
He had refused to undergo a full medical check-up or provide a DNA sample.
"No DNA sample was given. We did what we considered was reasonable".However, at about 11pm, the same convoy left the police headquarters to an undisclosed location. It is not known whether Anwar was in one of the cars.

Syed Hamid: Expect lengthy investigations
Meanwhile, Home Minister Syed Hamid Albar had earlier told AFP that Anwar was likely to spend the night in detention.
"I doubt Anwar will be released tonight as this is a very serious allegation and there are a lot of things to be investigated and the police must carry this out fully," he said.Syed Hamid dismissed Anwar's claims that the accusations levelled by a former aide were a government conspiracy, and discounted the prospect of mass demonstrations if the opposition leader is charged with sodomy.
"There is no conspiracy as Anwar likes to point out. Every time he is detained he claims it's a conspiracy, this is mind conditioning and we will make sure that no one is above the law."
The new arrest baffled legal observers because it came after Anwar agreed to submit to a police interrogation over the allegations, but Syed Hamid said authorities suspected he was not planning to turn up to the meeting.
"It doesn't matter when they moved in as they needed to have him make a statement on the investigations and he has been detained in order to carry out the investigations," he said.
"Once the police have investigated fully, they will then decide whether they can move to the next stage of filing charges against Anwar."Police had verified Saiful's info
Syed Hamid said police had to verify information given by Mohamad Saiful Bukhari Azlan, the 23-year-old former aide who said Anwar sexually assaulted him at an up-market Kuala Lumpur condo.
"The police have interviewed Saiful fully and they have evidence which they now need to match with what Anwar has to say," he said.
"The victim must not feel that he has not been given an equal opportunity under the law."
Anwar's downfall a decade ago triggered massive street protests that drew tens of thousands of people, but Syed Hamid said he did not expect that to happen again.
"I don't think there will be riots in Malaysia as a result of this arrest," he said, adding that citizens were already annoyed at the disruption caused by recent anti-government demonstrations.

How can this moroon be allowed in the parliment?

Bung Mokhtar Radin (Kinabatangan-BN) today did a U-turn, admitting that he had made an obscene gesture in the Dewan Rakyat yesterday during a dispute with some Pakatan Rakyat MPs.

Yes, I did it, but it (the gesture) is not what it means. Everybody has their own perception and it is not rude and it is not what people think it is,” he said when met in the Parliament lobby. He seemed unfazed by the prospect of any action against him, saying he had not done anything wrong.

The obscene gesture was aired during the 30-minute daily ‘live’ telecast of the Question session on RTM1, but went unnoticed in the chambers because the in-house cameras were not focused on him.Yesterday, Bung Mokhtar had denied making the gesture. He reiterated today that he was reacting angrily to some Pakatan MPs who had called him bodoh (stupid). When asked who had made the remark, he said he was uncertain but “it was one of the PKR MPs”.

Malaysiakini learnt that Abdullah Sani Abdul Hamid (PKR-Kuala Langat) was the MP involved - he confirmed this when contacted by telephone today.“I was very angry with him, so I called him bodoh. I also said some other things after that which I don’t remember. It was very noisy in the House when it happened,” Abdullah said. ‘No point complaining’When met in the Parliament lobby, Kamaruddin Jaafar (PAS-Tumpat) said Bung Mokhtar’s explanation should be accepted.“Just accept his explanation and let him be. Let the rakyat judge. They have seen it (the footage) so let them judge the Kinabatangan MP,” he said.Asked if any opposition MP would submit a motion for action to be taken against Bung Mokhtar, he said previous complaints against those who made rude remarks or gestures had been disregarded. “During the last sitting, we made a complaint but no action was taken. So this time, we are not getting our hopes up,” said Kamaruddin. Minister in Prime Minister’s Department Mohd Nazri Abdul Aziz said MPs can decide if they wanted action to be taken and table a motion.Asked to comment on Bung Mokhtar’s insistence that the gesture was not offensive, Nazri replied: “If he says it is not a rude gesture, does it mean he can do it again?”
